BIO: aka...Lil Fray holds the title of the youngest member of the group at the age of 13. At the young age of 9 months old, Lil Fray was diagnosed by the doctors as having a blood disorder called Hemophilia. growing up, Lil Fray was given a long list of all of the things that he could not do: Football, basketball, baseball, etc. It was difficult to be so young and have so many limitations. However, at the age of 5 he asked Jesus into his life, and has had a relationship with the Lord ever since. At the age of 7 he told his parents that he wanted to be a "Rapping Pastor" when he grew up. Not even familiar with the format of Gospel Rap at the time, he was unaware at that time how he was going to accomplish that goal. One year later, along with one of the other BraveHearts, Jay, he was given an opportunity to perform a rap song at an event at their church. It was at this young age of 8 years old when he stepped on the stage for the first time ... and has not looked back ever since! He has used the illness he (and his younger brother) was diagnosed with as a testimony to God, sharing with thousands how God has walked with him during the difficult times of his life. He truly believes that he is healed of Hemophilia, and one day soon it will manifest in his body. When that day comes, Lil Fray knows that his testimony will only become stronger and will assist in bringing even more to know, love & accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

Chosen 1
Age: 17
Hometown: Greenville, SC
Overused Phrase: “Shake & Bake”
Must see movie: “Déjà vu” … Denzel flicks are cool!
Cereal: I don’t eat cereal … Banana Strawberry Yoplait yogurts!!
Favorite Scripture: Hebrews 4:12
BIO: Chosen 1 has also attended church since the age of 2. One year after Lil Fray & Jay performed for the first time, they were invited back to do another performance. That year, they invited Chosen One to join them. One year later was when they officially started what is known today as "BraveHearts 4 Christ".
Like Jay, Chosen 1 also had a love for the secular world of Hip Hop, and also found himself being pulled by many worldly things, including sex, drugs and alcohol. He persevered against these things, because he knew that God had many powerful things in store for his future. Having walked through such tribulations has allowed him to relate to what many of the youth today confront on a daily basis. Not only has he used his trials as a tool of ministry during the times when BraveHearts have performed, but he also has had the opportunity to minister to people one on one. Many of those people have spent years on the streets and have been hardened by what they have seen & encountered. But Chosen 1 has been able to express to many of these troubled teens that it is "cool' to love Jesus, and has no shame in sharing that with them.

Jay Hayes
Age: 18
Hometown: Greenville, SC
Overused Phrase: “Never Let ‘Em See You Sweat”
Must see movie: “Breakfast Club” … that movie is hilarious
Cereal: Fruity Pebbles
Favorite Scripture: Ephesians 4:6
BIO: Jay is the oldest member of the group. Until recently, his "rap name" was "Jay-ill", until the Holy Spirit revealed to him that he needed to remove "ill" from his name. Although the term "ill" is popularly used in the secular format of hip hop, the definition of "ill" is sickness and madness. By having the word as a part of his name, he realized that he was speaking those things into his life. Once he removed the word from his name, he said that another whole dimension of God has opened in his life.
Jay gave his life to the Lord at the age of 8, and joined Ill Fray on the stage at the age of 13 for their first performance. Although he had attended church most of his life and gave his heart at a young age, Jay was still combated with many of the elements of the world that many teenagers face today. Although he was rapping for Jesus, he was still attracted to the secular aspect of Hip Hop music and the culture it glorifies. But as time went on, he began to diligently seek God more and more and eventually realized that he had a large calling in his life. He was told at the age of ten that he would be a pastor one day, and now Jay finds himself week after week boldly sharing the things of God to audiences.
