OCEANS THIRTEEN

OCEANS THIRTEEN takes place in Las Vegas like OCEANS ELEVEN first did, but instead of ripping off Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), the thirteen are ripping off Willie Banks (Al Pacino).

Banks is a two timing crook who basically deserves to be ripped off by the thirteen. Danny Ocean (George Clooney) goes into action to make that happen, which unlike in OCEANS TWELVE (that was my favorite) fye.com your f.y.e 125x125the mystery element of the movie is shot. We basically get the blueprint of the robbery that’s about to take place at the newest casino in Vegas. They come to a standstill when they discover Willie Banks (Al Pacino) has a secret weapon that could destroy all of their precise planning to make him lose big. As usual George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon made OCEANS 13.

I must say having Al Pacino in OCEANS THIRTEEN was awesome! I seem to love Pacino in his comedies almost as much as his serious films (like the GODFATHER). He seriously added a lot to the film. I think Andy Garcia was really good in the few scenes he had too. Bernie Mac had some noteworthy scenes, one imparticular was when he’s actually inside Banks new casino, kind of funny.

However, Matt Damon made OCEANS THIRTEEN for me! Damon had the wittiest lines, the funniest scenes and you so won’t forget his ‘prop’. I’m just going to say brilliant!

All in all, I liked OCEANS TWELVE better because of the mystery element, also Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta Jones. OCEANS THIRTEEN didn’t include Mrs. Ocean (Julia Roberts) or Isabel Lahiri (Catherine Zeta Jones). Incase you miss the explanation as many did, in the very beginning Danny Ocean (George Clooney) is talking to Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt) and their on the plane and he says ‘It isn’t their fight’. He repeats it at least twice. If I had to pull moral value from this film I’d say it’s about friendship and making wrongs right . Definitely a Must See! **** Film Rated PG 13
