MotionPlus and Braille
Put Brokenness at the
Center of Still Dreamin'
The Christian hip hop collaborators release a four song EP August 21, led by music that confronts weakness, uncertainty and faith.
MotionPlus and Braille are putting human weakness at the center of their new project.
The Christian hip hop collaborators will release Still Dreamin’ on Friday, August 21. The four song EP was produced by Braille and has already been previewed by “Overdue” and “Broken Vessels.”
“Broken Vessels,” released August 7, provides the clearest window into the project’s themes.
The song addresses inadequacy, uncertainty and brokenness rather than hiding those experiences behind a polished Christian message.
The Meaning Behind “Broken Vessels”
The title points naturally toward one of Paul’s most memorable images.
2 Corinthians 4:7 says:
“We have this treasure in jars of clay.”
The biblical picture acknowledges human fragility while emphasizing that God’s power does not depend on human perfection.
That theme also appears in Psalm 34:18, 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Philippians 1:6.
The Christian message is not that believers never struggle.
It is that weakness does not prevent God from working through them.
Scripture to Consider
2 Corinthians 4:7 is the clearest biblical companion to “Broken Vessels.”
The passage does not establish that the song was written directly from that verse. It does, however, illuminate the central idea suggested by the song’s title and subject matter.
God’s people can be fragile while still carrying something of immense value.
That is a powerful tension for Christian hip hop to explore.
A 2026 Live Connection
MotionPlus and Braille also have a documented connection to the 2026 Winter Jam tour.
That places Still Dreamin’ within an active Christian hip hop scene rather than presenting the EP as an isolated studio project.
Why This Release Matters
Christian hip hop has room for celebration, testimony and proclamation.
It also has room for honesty about failure, insecurity and pain.
Still Dreamin’ appears to lean into that latter territory.
The project arrives August 21.
