GET UP OUT OF THAT MESS

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” Hebrews 4:15

One thing that really stands out about the above scripture is how it says in all points tempted like as we are. Jesus really knows how we feel, when we’re feeling it. He knows what it’s like to be rejected, talked about, mistreated, misunderstood to suffer and I’m sure much more. Yet, Jesus didn’t allow the pressures of this life to stop him from doing the will of God. It didn’t stop him from persevering.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Jesus made a way for us even when we’re tempted, even when we sin to be able to go to the Father for forgiveness. To go to God for strength and grace with boldness. He is our Father! He will never abandon us or let us self-destruct, but we have to go to him. Talk to him and ask for the help we need.

How hard is it for us to ask?

In the New Testament there’s a parable about The Prodigal Son who asked for his inheritance before his father died. He asked for it before he was ready to receive it and handle it like an adult. As a result he ended up squandering all of the money, feeding pigs and in a horrible situation. But one day in the midst of his mess he realized that he didn’t have to live like that. That his fathers servants were in a better position than him and he decided to get out of his mess. He decided to go home to his father because he knew whatever he faced there would be better than what he was living in. As the story goes, the Father welcomed him home with open arms. He made a big production of it. Threw a party, cooked the best meat and celebrated his sons return. Friend, God is so like that!
He’s waiting for you to come on home to him!
He’s waiting for you to get out of that mess you’re in to realize that you don’t have to stay there. That he loves you so much! It’s never too late to go back to his throne of grace.

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. Proverbs 10:12

God loves you. His love, the love of Christ covers your sin too! Give it all to the Lord today with the heart to change. With the heart to turn from whatever it is that’s been stopping you from going to God boldly. It’s never too late to get out of that mess! Never too late to go to the Father!

Many Blessings~
