ENTICED BY SIN

My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thee not. Proverbs 1:10

One thing is true, we can't blame our actions on someone else. Whenever we turn on the Television or go to the movies and even listen to the radio at times the message their sending is enticing us to sin. Sin looks good. I'm sure it also feels good for a while too, but that's just it that feeling is temporary!
As Christian's we know what's right and wrong, and when we're enticed to sin no one is making us do it. We're making an active decision to disobey the Lord. We're consenting to go against what we know is right in God's eyes.
When we allow ourselves to give into sin knowingly and willingly we're disrespecting our relationship with God. One of my favorite examples is King Saul. He was more concerned with pleasing the people than he was with pleasing God, and in the end that cost him his throne and life.

My message to you today is to ask yourself, are you consenting to sin?

Are you participating in conversations, situations, getting into positions that you know God wouldn't want you in because of your friends?

Then ask yourself are peoples opinions more important than pleasing God?

Read:Proverbs 1:29
