Don't Stop Asking

But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
Psalm 4:3

Friend, God is listening to us because we are his children.
Sometimes it feels as though our words are going up without an answer, but that's not true. Maybe we don't get the answer right away, but God hears each and everyone of us because he loves us.

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Matthew 15:22-28

See, this woman was with Jesus and he didn't answer her right away.
When he did answer it wasn't the answer she wanted to hear, but that didn't stop her from calling out to him all the more. In fact she turned it up a notch, she worshipped him and asked him to help her. And what did Jesus do? He said it is not meet to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs! This conversation by no means seemed to be going well for this lady who only had a desire to have her daughter healed, yet she didn't stop there either. She said, 'Truth Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.' And finally Jesus answered her and said, '…O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.'

Just because you haven't received an answer yet, it doesn't mean God isn't listening. It doesn't mean he won't answer your prayer, but it does mean that it's an opportunity for you to stand in faith for God's will for your life.
See it was God's will for that woman's daughter to be healed. How do I know because that's what Jesus did. He went around doing good and healing the sick. That woman believed Jesus would heal her daughter so she didn't cave in because Jesus wasn't saying what she wanted to hear. She pressed on through until Jesus answered her!
Friend, don't give up! God is listening and in his timing he will answer your prayer.

Many Blessings~
