The Best Friend You'll Ever Have
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
Proverbs 27:6

I've found that real friends don't always tell you what you want to hear when you're doing something you're not suppose to. I believe one of the reasons Jesus had the disciples is so he could encourage and correct them as men. Peter especially! I love Peter because he was all over the place!
One minute Peter is full of faith walking on water and the next he's trying to rebuke Jesus from speaking of his death. Jesus addressed both of Peter's actions too. Both on the water when Peter began to sink, 'Oh ye of little faith' and then again, 'Get thee behind me satan'. Right inbetween there somewhere Jesus told Peter he was the rock in which the church would be built.
I believe our relationship with Christ is a lot like that too. He's our best friend, he will build us up and call us out when we're doing wrong. It may come through the word, a friend, a sermon, or just that still small voice tugging at our heart.
Jesus is faithful. Many times he gives us faithful friends who recognizes the good and the bad when we can't see it ourselves. So listen to Christ, he's the best friend you'll ever have!

Many Blessings~
