What does Christ’s resurrection mean to you? That God sent his only Son to die for our sins.
Donald's Story I was born and raised in The Bronx. I grew up in a household with my Mom, Father and older Sister. I had to deal with an alcoholic father that verbally abused me for much of my childhood about me being over weight and also dealing with a learning disability as a child.
I was grateful that my mother brought me to Church of the Revelation and that's were I first met Jesus. God introduced me to a youth pastor named Mitchell Torres and a music director named Eli Suarez. These two individuals were vessels that God has put in my life to develop me spiritually and musically.
I heard about a youth choir they were starting and I auditioned for it and I got picked. The name of the choir was Rhythm & Praise. I sang with them for about 5 years.
After those 5 years I went through some twist and turns in my life, that I chose to backslide and walk away from Christ. I was clubbing and spending my money in strip clubs. At this time I was in my first marriage with an unsaved woman. I made a lot of bad decision without Christ in my life. I thought about suicide. My marriage turned for the worse. I had no choice but to go back and meet Christ were I left him. I chose to go back to church and get feed by the Word again.
Pastor Mitchell and Eli continued to reach out to me while I was going through my dilemma. Eli approached me and asked me if I wanted to be in a group called NuSoul Generation. I saw this as an opportunity that God was giving me to praise His name again.
God has used this group to help me build great relationships, confidence in myself and also to minister to His people for His glory. God has placed a group of nobodies together to be used by God to be somebody to this sinful world. May God get all the Glory and Praise.
